26.08-1LatestBooth Mode hubs

  • Booth Mode — a new hub layout — The create dialog gains a third card: a Booth Mode hub is your event kiosk — an attract landing with up to five buttons, each opening one of your Stacks in the classic booth player, the ROI Calculator, or a web link, with a navigation that stays visible on every page.
  • Landing designer — Edit everything in place on the canvas — the headline, the tagline and the buttons themselves: rename a button inline, point it at a Stack, the ROI Calculator or a web link from its toolbar, and add, remove or reorder buttons right on the page. Flip one hub Live on the Booth View (one at a time); a new per-user toggle shows or hides the Booth View tab in your main menu — and the ROI Calculator tab moved off the top bar into booth landings.
  • Public booth links — Sharing a booth hub needs no special mode: its public link opens on the landing with the Stacks frozen inside, works for organisers and visitors without an account, and lets anonymous visitors run the ROI Calculator and email themselves the report (you are CC’d; the lead lands in analytics). Sharing with colleagues carries the Stacks too — and duplicating a shared booth copies them into your own hubs.
  • Booth USB bundles — The offline USB bundle now packages the whole booth: landing, buttons and every referenced Stack in offline.html, with the ROI Calculator available in the server-based launch — fully offline except web links and the email report.

  • Hotspot & tooltip call-outs — Hotspots are now a pulsing dot with a floating call-out card: snap it to 12 positions or drag it anywhere — the pointer keeps aiming at the target — rotate it with one click (Shift+R), and add a spotlight, backdrop dim, step counter, back arrow, or hide-until-hover.
  • Arrow element — Point at anything: drag from tail to head, pick a straight or curved shaft and a solid, pulsing, hollow, or draw-itself-in style — with the same optional card and button as tooltips.
  • Modals that edit in place — Type titles and text directly inside text and media modals on the canvas. Media uploads land in your Library for reuse, and every button opens Button options — label, styling, and what it does: continue, next step, jump to a chapter, or open a URL.
  • Clips wait for the viewer — Elements placed on a Video Mix clip pause the footage while they are on screen — new clip elements have Pause video on by default, and clicking the element or its button resumes exactly where it stopped.
  • Workspace themes — Create named color themes — accent, beacon, card and button colors — shared across your organization. Apply one per demo, and the workspace default styles every new demo automatically.
  • Browser frame & share page background — Wrap the played demo in a browser window with traffic-light dots, and pick the background color shown around it on its public share page.
  • Player views — Choose how viewers navigate: the classic Prev/Next buttons with step dots, or a slim progress bar along the bottom that fills as clips play, previews steps on hover, and jumps on click.
  • Live style preview — Demo settings now shows a miniature of the player beside the style options, updating instantly as you pick colors, frames, and navigation.

  • Sandbox Mode (beta) — Capture any web page as a live, editable clone. Personalise the on-screen text and numbers — no engineering needed — then wire clicks so viewers can explore it like the real app.
  • Unified Library — My Demos is now a single Library for every demo and the video clips, images, and slides you capture or upload — reusable across the studio.
  • Video Mix editor polish — Real clip playback, a draggable timing pill, keyboard playback shortcuts, a centered toolbar, and Intro/Outro pages that match the finished demo.
  • Capture extension side panel — The browser capture extension is now a docked side panel with a reliable one-click sign-in, so capturing screens stays in view while you work.
  • Sturdier public share links — Fixed an issue where some public demo links could fail to load for signed-out viewers.

  • Choose your demo type — The New Demo screen now lets you start a Standard step-by-step walkthrough or a Video Mix, each with an editor tailored to that format.
  • Video Mix — Combine screen-recording clips and still frames on a timeline with callouts to tell a guided, narrated story.
  • Browser capture extension — A new DemoStacker browser extension captures any web app screen straight into your Library, secured with a short-lived sign-in token.
  • Privacy policy page — Added a public privacy policy covering exactly what the capture extension does and does not access.
26.06-7Teams, roles & richer profiles

  • Teams — Group colleagues into org-shared Teams so you can share a demo with a whole team at once, and let creators act as team leads.
  • Roles: Viewer, Creator, Admin — A three-tier role system with a new Org Admin page to manage seats, and reversible disable/enable in place of permanent deletion.
  • Share with everyone at your company — A one-click option to share a demo org-wide, in addition to specific colleagues and teams.
  • Fuller user profiles — Edit your avatar, job title, and password from your profile; your role is shown and locked.
  • Multi-video booth loop — A stack’s booth/idle screen can now cycle through several loop videos instead of just one.

  • One Share button — Internal and external sharing are combined into a single Share modal, so there is one place to grant access and copy a link.
  • Share with colleagues — Share demos with people at your company and notify them, with global search to find content shared with you.
  • Sharing analytics — See how your shared demos are performing, with follow-up actions surfaced alongside the numbers.
  • Brand profiles — Reusable brand profiles for your demos — private by default, with opt-in sharing across your organization.
  • Tenant isolation hardening — Tightened access rules so shared content stays scoped to the right people and organization.

  • Organizations & company-code signup — Join your company with a code at signup; owners get an admin view and features can be gated per organization.
  • Name & company on your account — Signup and your profile now capture your name and company, with the fields pre-filled where we can.
  • Smoother signup — You are signed in automatically after signup, with a clear reminder to verify your email.
  • Usage analytics — Added privacy-friendly product analytics to help us improve the app.

  • Events are now “Stacks” — Renamed Events to Stacks across the app, with the stacks list moved into a left sidebar rail.
  • Booth Mode — Publish a stack live and open its hosted hub in one step — ideal for a trade-show booth or a shared link.
  • Per-stack online/offline & auto-save — Toggle each stack between online and offline, with your edits saved automatically as you go.
  • Drag-to-reorder & duplicate — Reorder topic cards by dragging, duplicate an entire stack, and see real content previews in item thumbnails.

  • Two-bar navigation — Consolidated three stacked toolbars into two: the main sections live in the top bar, and a single second bar shows the options for whatever section you are in.
  • Profile moved to the top bar — Your profile avatar is now always available at the top-right, on every page.
  • Account is a top-level page — Account & preferences moved to its own /account page instead of living under the Studio section.
  • Easier hub menu handle — The hub menu show/hide control is now a large, vertically-centered handle that is easy to find and click.
  • Removed the Grid view — Retired the unused hub Grid (tiles) view to simplify the experience.

  • Reorganized demo editor — Demo settings now sit at the top, every step is a collapsible accordion, and Publish/Save are pinned at the bottom of the inspector.
  • Recording countdown — A 3-2-1 countdown plays after you pick a screen and before recording starts, so the first moment is no longer wasted.
  • Widescreen guidance + live preview — Recording nudges you toward a 16:9 area and shows a live preview of exactly what is being captured, framed by a recording border.

  • Redesigned Content Stack & Account — A friendlier, DemoStacker-orange redesign of the Content Stack manager, plus a brand-new Account page.
  • Light mode by default — The app now defaults to the light theme, with a theme toggle in Account preferences.
  • Edit call-out cards on the canvas — Welcome, exit, and beacon call-out cards are edited directly on the step, with a pixel-true preview of what viewers see.
  • Drag & resize callout cards — Beacon callout cards can be dragged to reposition and resized right on the demo canvas.
