Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DemoStacker (“DemoStacker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our website, web application, and browser extension (together, the “Services”). We have written it to be clear and to comply with the Chrome Web Store's User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as well as applicable privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the Services:

  • Account information. When you sign up or sign in, we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers. If you sign in through a third-party provider (such as Google), we receive basic profile information you authorize.
  • Content you create. Demo videos, PDFs, slides, annotations, ROI calculator inputs, and other assets you upload or generate in order to use the Services.
  • Usage and device data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages or features used, and timestamps, collected to keep the Services secure and reliable.
  • Browser extension data. When you explicitly trigger a capture (the extension popup or the on-page “Capture screen” button), the DemoStacker extension reads the current page's content — its HTML, styles, fonts, and images — to build a self-contained copy (a “screen”), and uploads that copy to your own DemoStacker account using a short-lived token you authorize. It captures only the page you choose, and only on that explicit action; it does not capture pages in the background, track your browsing history, or send data anywhere other than your DemoStacker account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services;
  • Authenticate you and protect your account;
  • Store and display the demo content and settings you create;
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service-related notices;
  • Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve features and performance; and
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Limited Use of Information

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer or use it for purposes unrelated to providing or improving the Services, except as required for security, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with equivalent privacy protections.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers. Vetted vendors that host, store, or process data on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting and database providers) under contracts that require them to protect your data.
  • Within your organization. If your account belongs to a team or organization, content you share may be visible to other members and administrators of that workspace.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DemoStacker, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to those who need it to operate the Services. We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and meet legal obligations.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

  • Review and update your account information from within the app;
  • Delete content you have created; and
  • Request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

You can uninstall the browser extension at any time to stop all data collection by the extension.

7. International Users

We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers consistent with applicable data protection laws.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
